News now lives entirely on the Dashboard
We've moved news management from Settings to the Dashboard β where the feature is actually used. You can now easily add, update and remove news items directly where they're displayed. This is the first step in our restructuring of settings where everyday functions are moved out into the platform and settings becomes the place for admin configuration.
What's new:
- "View all" button to scroll through all news items in a more natural flow.
- Reactions to news πβ€οΈπππ‘, for an interactive platform experience! A simple way for employees to show appreciation, and for those publishing news, the reactions give direct feedback on what's engaging.
Save your favourite views in reports
You can now save customised filter views in all reports, making it easy to return to the data you need most often.
Reports where you can save views:
- Salary changes, Salaries, Time off balance, Employments, Time off, Overtime, Time, Comp time, Joiners, Leavers
Other updates in reports:
- Time: Personal number in export
- Joiners: Export now includes IBAN, BIC and SWIFT
- Comp time: All organisation filters plus employee and employment status
Chat with Peep (internal testing phase)
Peep is our AI-powered search function that answers questions about company information, contact details and organisational structure. Employees get immediate answers, HR saves time on routine questions, and security is guaranteed through crypto shredding and role-based access.
Currently being tested internally at Hailey by 150 employees who are helping us refine the experience before we launch it to you. We'll let you know when this is available in your account.
Tip ahead of launch: Fill out the Company page with information β the more content there, the better answers Peep can give!
Create customised dashboards for time off analysis
Create your own analysis dashboards for time off and share them with selected users. Perfect for giving managers and HR quick access to relevant trends and key metrics.
New metric: Number of hours with time off
The first metric totals all time off hours during the selected period.
How it works:
- If time off is reported in hours, they're counted directly.
- If time off is reported as a percentage, the employee must have working hours set on their employment to be included β then we can convert the percentage into the correct number of hours.
New languages and holiday calendars for local and individual customisation
Languages: Portuguese π΅πΉ, Latvian π±π» and Ukrainian πΊπ¦ are now available as company languages or personal language choices for users.
Holiday calendars: Latvian predefined holiday calendar has been added. Use predefined calendars to mark public holidays as non-working days in the time and time off overview.
Managing casual employment
We've made two changes for casual employment:
Separate permissions
Casual employment now has its own permissions and no longer follows the configuration for regular employment. This gives you greater flexibility as casual employment is often handled differently.
Automatic access for managers
The manager listed under "Reports to" now automatically gets access to the Job tab for their casual employed employees, where they can edit end dates.
Improved security in text fields
We've added extra checks to all text fields to ensure that only permitted characters can be used. This prevents code or malicious content from being entered into the platform.
Update to the Kontek integration
Kontek has launched a new API and we've updated the integration to support the new authentication.
Important: Authenticate by 1 March 2026 at the latest: All customers using the Kontek integration must authenticate the new way before Kontek shuts down API versions 1β5.
The integration works as usual until then. If you want to activate the integration or make changes, the new authentication is already required.
We're continuing to work on:
1-2-1's β Comprehensive relaunch including conversation types and improved access control. All admins will soon receive a step-by-step guide ahead of the launch.
HSE incident reporting β Currently being built and we'll continue with this in the next sprint.
Salary ranges in recruitment β Makes it easier for you to set clear salary frameworks in the recruitment process to support you with new requirements in the Pay Transparency Directive.
New updates we're taking into upcoming sprints:
Valuation of benefits in pay equity analysis β Include benefit values for a more complete salary picture.
Auto-populate roles and rights β Save time by automatically assigning roles based on organisational structure.
Share pulse survey results with managers β Give managers direct insight into their teams' engagement and wellbeing.
New partner integrations to Hailey
More platforms are building integrations to Hailey, giving you even more ready-made solutions for syncing master data from Hailey to other systems.
New this month:
Didac: Managers can see directly in Hailey who has completed which training, time spent on learning and certifications that need renewing β without logging into Didac.
HRwise: Uses employee and role information from Hailey to calculate bench strength, highlight critical skills gaps and create structured learning paths.
